Refunds and Cancellation

It covers offers and agreements between brands and creators, creator compensation and the platform fee. It does not create rights beyond those in the Terms of Service and the agreement between the parties.

An offer that has not been accepted can be withdrawn or countered. Withdrawing it creates no obligation. The earlier versions stay on the record.

Cancellation terms are part of what the parties agree, and they are recorded in the agreement. Either party can record a cancellation on the platform, and the agreement status shows Cancelled. What each party owes the other follows the terms they agreed, not this page.

If the parties cannot agree what follows from a cancellation, they can use the Dispute Process.

Creator compensation is paid directly by the brand to the creator, outside the platform. Because the platform does not hold funds, it cannot refund creator compensation. Any refund is arranged between the parties, and the status can be updated on the record with the reference.

The platform fee applies to marketplace campaigns and is paid online through a payment gateway's hosted checkout. How the fee is treated when an agreement is cancelled, in whole or in part, is to be confirmed after legal and finance review. Until it is confirmed, requests are handled case by case by support (support address: to be confirmed).

Creator accounts are free, so there is nothing to refund. Brand and agency launch or pilot access is agreed individually, and any money terms are those agreed with each organization.

If a platform fee payment was taken twice or failed after you were charged, write to support with the payment reference and we will look into it (support address: to be confirmed).

This framework does not limit rights you may have under applicable law. Counsel will confirm which rights apply and how they relate to this page.

Orders placed on a creator's storefront (support, paid messages, gifts, services and products) currently run in test mode. Payment is simulated: no card is charged, no money is collected and nothing is paid out. A refund on such an order is a record on the order, not a transfer of money.

A booking a creator declines before starting is cancelled in full. After that, cancellations and refunds follow the MOWJ Guarantee rules and, where the parties disagree, the Dispute Process. The MOWJ Guarantee is a set of marketplace rules. It is not a financial guarantee, insurance or escrow.
