Creator Guidelines

This document is a draft pending legal review.

Operating entity: to be confirmed.

These guidelines describe what MOWJ expects from creators. They are about being accurate, reliable and respectful, which is also what brands are looking for.

1Be accurate about yourself

Keep your profile truthful and current. Enter audience numbers honestly. They are shown as creator-reported with the date you recorded them, so update them when they change. Do not claim a verification, a credential or past work that you do not have.

2Identify sponsored content

Sponsored content should be clearly identified as such. The applicable rules can change, so check current requirements with the relevant authority and your own counsel. Follow any disclosure requirement in the brief.

3Respond and deliver reliably

  • Reply to invitations within a reasonable time, even if the answer is no.
  • Say early if a date is at risk.
  • Deliver what was agreed, in the format and by the date that was agreed.

4Respect the brief and the approval steps

Follow the mandatory messages, prohibited claims, hashtags and mentions in the brief. Do not publish until the agreed approval has been given. If you think a requirement is wrong or unclear, ask a question instead of working around it.

5Respect usage rights and exclusivity

Honour the usage rights and exclusivity that you accepted, including their duration. If you want to change them, negotiate a new version before you act.

6Communicate respectfully

Be courteous with brands, agencies and other creators. Harassment, discrimination and threats are not allowed. See the Acceptable Use Policy.

7Keep records

Record the publication link and evidence for each deliverable. Keep your own copies of agreements, invoices and receipts. They are useful if a question comes up later.

8Payment

The brand pays you directly, outside the platform. Record the payment status honestly, and add the reference or receipt when you receive payment. If a payment is late, say so on the record before escalating.

9Protect your account

Use a strong, unique password and do not share your sign-in details. Tell us if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.

10Report problems

If something goes wrong, raise it early, first with the other party and then through the Dispute Process if needed.

11Your social accounts

MOWJ does not post to your social accounts and does not read your private analytics. Audience numbers on your profile are the ones you enter, labelled as creator-reported, and publishing stays in your hands.
